- July 9, 2015: According to a report released by IDC on Thursday – Worldwide PC shipments in the second quarter of 2015 declined 11.8 percent compared to the same period a year ago. There are several factors which have contributed to the decline in the PC shipments across the globe with Windows 10 launch being one of them.
- July 9, 2015: Microsoft confirmed that the Office universal apps for Windows 10 (the mobile, touch-first versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote) will ship in non-preview form on July 29, 2015.
- March 24, 2015: Microsoft said that developers will soon be able to test Spartan, as it gets ready for a public preview. The company also said on its Internet Explorer blog that IE Browser is finally dying.
